eAuPair FAQ's

USA

To employ a foreign au pair in the USA, the au pair needs to apply for a J1 visa. These visas are only available through government authorised agencies. We are not an agency and are therefore not in a position to assist with visas.

The au pair applies for a J-1 visa at the US embassy or consulate in his/her home country. This visa is valid for 1 year.

The US Department of State offers information on the au pair programme in the USA. The url is: http://exchanges.state.gov/education/jexchanges/private/aupair_brochure.htm#from
