In my nanny's first letter to me she stated that it would be no problem for her to help with the "cleaning", "kitchen", and "etc."

We don't make her mop, we don't make her clean bathrooms (except for her own), we don't make her vacuume (except for baby's room) we don't make her clean walls, etc...

But when we ask her to load/unload the dishwasher she doesn't like it. She helps up prepare dinner as a family where I do the heavy cooking and at the end of the meal she only washes her plate. Recently (after 3 months) I asked her to quickly sweep the floor 3 times a week, with one of those static cling cloths that picks up dust (we have wood floors)....it only takes 5 minutes......and she doesn't like that either. The vacuuming and cleaning of the floor is done by me or someone else.

I would like to know what other people think of this? She said that she was willing to do light housework when she signed up..........so what do people consider light housework?

I really want to be fair so that is why I am asking. I would appreciate responses from other families and other nanny's.

Thanks.
